Summer Meeting Recap – 100 Men YEG

July 25, 2018

Just last Monday 100 Men YEG members came together with the fine women of Chicks with Cheques for our combined Summer Social to hear from three deserving charities.

In the afternoon 36 members took part in a great golf tournament with the weather cooperating. Many laughs and fun was had by everyone.

If you didn’t get an opportunity to attend, you can still donate your $100 via this link: DONATE It’s never too late, and if everyone who has committed to this quarterly donation follows through, the impact will be even better!

So on with it, what happened?

Returning Recipient:

First, we had a video thank you from Kyle of You Can Youth Services and he told us how they allocated the $7.5K they received from us at our last meeting.

Recipient of the Night

The charity that was the chosen recipient of the night by the members on hand was, Crystal Kids. Crystal Kids was chosen for its long standing youth work in Edmonton of 22 years and one of the speakers was in fact a Crystal Kid who has grown up in the program and now is a employee of Crystal Kids helping others who were in the same position and circumstances as she dealt with years prior.  This was a true testament to the strength of the work Crystal Kids does.
