Grassroots Giving goes Mainstream – 100 Men YEG
From the time we launched 100 Men YEG, we’ve been referring to our little group as a part of the ‘100 People Movement’. We knew other chapters were springing up across Canada, chiefly because we needed them as mentors to help us get started and grow. But it’s becoming clearer and clearer that this really is a citizen movement inspired by people who want to use their connections and dollars to build stronger communities.
In a year that has been a tough one for a lot of Albertans, we encourage you to think about local people and the charities that help them and dig in to your wallets and calendars and carve out just a little bit more help before the end of the year. If you need some inspiration, this Charity Village article describes the history and work being done by 100 People groups all over Canada and the United States. We’re thankful for being asked to speak with them about our experiences and hope it motivates a few more people to give.
